What a year full of surprises it is! For Fig & Moss 2020 started out all nice and sparkly with Sparkle Club and sequin sweater bows. Then came Covid-19, the0 quarantine, the mask shortage, and I found myself designing and making masks! With my husband's help I made over 500 masks during the quarantine and provided free masks to healthcare workers and first responders. The masks are still well loved by customers for their fit and fun prints. We slowly got back to bows with a super fun Spring/Summer 2020 release and some of those bows are still available on the site. We also did a fundraiser raffle in June and donated to The Loveland Foundation, an institution that strives to provide therapy and opportunities to Black women and girls.
My family bought a house this summer and we are still in the thick of unpacking all of our boxes and settling into our first home. Instead of devoting all my time to fully settling in, I divide it between keeping up with Fig & Moss work and starting a little garden of my own (I dreamed of this since I read The Secret Garden). More updates on the domestic side of things to come!
